Our Custom Vinyl Variants
Vinyl pressing…it’s what we do best here at Hellbender! We love it, we do it every day and know these records like the back of our hand, but we realize not everyone does. Today's blog is all about showing you some of the different variants we press here. These are some of our latest and greatest custom vinyl work - maybe it'll inspire your next record pressing project. We press 7 inch vinyl, 10 inch vinyl, and of course 12 inch. We even have some cheap custom vinyl pressing options.

Splatter - Random paint-like splatters of one or more colors scattered across a base color vinyl. Each record is unique with unpredictable splatter patterns.
Blob in clear - One solid color embedded within another color, often appearing as blobs, swirls, or chunks of color floating in the base vinyl. Sometimes called "blob" vinyl. We can also do this with two colors - it doesn't have to be a clear record.
Hand pour "marble" - Colors are manually poured during pressing rather than pre-mixed, creating organic swirls, marbling, and unique patterns.
Puck on puck "eclipse" - Separate colored vinyl pucks are stacked before pressing, creating bold color blocks and dramatic swirls as they melt together.
Ghostly - A translucent or semi-transparent pressing where one color appears to "ghost" or "dimple" through another, creating an ethereal, layered effect. F
Split and Quad - The record is divided into distinct halves or sections, with different colors on each side. Can be a clean 50/50 split or asymmetrical divisions. You can also split the record four ways, which gives us our quad variant.
Regrind - Made from recycled vinyl scraps melted down and repressed, creating a chaotic multi-colored "confetti" effect. Each copy is completely unique and environmentally friendly.
