Intern Spotlight - Emily Lutz

Intern Spotlight - Emily Lutz

Name: Emily Lutz

Position: Intern

What does your day to day look like? As an intern with Hellbender Vinyl, I'm here to help out the team. My main responsibilities fall under marketing. As Hellbender continues to grow and get their name out, I am fortunate to be a part of the process of introducing the company to those who may not have heard of us yet, as well as being a brand ambassador.

How did you get into vinyl record production? When I came upon this internship, I knew this was something I wanted to learn more about. I've been collecting records for the past five years and only knew little of the manufacturing process. I found the opportunity to dive deeper and learn more of the process to be really fascinating, and I'm absolutely stoked to get to have this experience with Hellbender Vinyl.

Do you have a favorite record you own? What is it? Youth by Citizen (LP) or - (hyphen) by Jetty Bones (EP)

What are your current top 3 favorite musicians/bands? Jetty Bones, Jack Kays, and Anxious

What's the best live music performance you've ever seen? Trophy Eyes at Preserving Underground

What was your first concert experience like? At 9 years old, my friend and her family took me to what was First Niagara Pavilion to see Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, and the Camp Rock 2 cast. The biggest thing I remember about the show is losing my voice screaming for Nick Jonas as he had to sing one of the songs before a timer ran out.

Emily’s internship journey doesn’t stop there—she’s also spearheading a new vinyl care tutorial series on our social channels, sharing her fresh perspective on cleaning, storage, and playback tips. Her enthusiasm, curiosity, and eagerness to learn are already shaping our culture, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!
